Meet the Need

Our Mission

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Serving those in most need

What We Do

Alegria provides a residential care facility for the chronically ill, while also caring for younger family members through its child development center; all of which is combined with the long term support of permanent housing.

Who We Serve

The Salvation Army takes this holistic approach to the HIV/AIDS crisis in recognition of the fact that services are not only essential for those affected by HIV/AIDS, but also for their loved ones: children, parents, spouses, and companions.
